Overview
A mid-sized food distribution company approached us after a year-long Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) rollout failed to deliver operational efficiency. The implementation had stalled, with the new system only partially functioning and business-critical processes still relying on a legacy Microsoft Access database.
Challenges
- Disconnected Systems:Core business functions such as inventory tracking and sales processing still operated on the legacy Access database, while Dynamics 365 remained underutilized.
- Dual Data Entry:Staff had to manually input data into both systems, doubling effort and increasing the risk of human error.
- Customization Gaps:The D365 environment did not reflect the company’s actual workflows due to incomplete or incorrect customizations.
